New forms

December the 5th saw myself and my sweetheart in Barcelona’s Park Guell, on a sunnier day than the one in this photo. Sufficiently sunny, in fact, to make a diamond ring sparkle like it was made entirely of light, especially when held in front of you by a kneeling and nervous boy.

Sufficiently blinded by the ring, she said yes. You hear that, internet? I’M ENGAGED!

Thank you both! Caoimhe, what’s happened to your blog?!

Posted by: Oliver at January 11, 2006 09:20 PM

Yeah, what has happened to Caoimhe’s blog? Talk about NSFW. And I innocently clicked thinking, well this must be something ironic.

I hate it when stuff like that happens then your lovely new laptop feels unclean and you immediately clear your cache and stuff but you’re still afraid someone out there will know and think you’re a total perv.

P.S. Yes is it 03.57 and I have an exam at 09.30, and I can’t sleep, but instead of reading about parliamentary vs presidential systems, I am downloading episodes of Coverville and posting a random comment.

Now I realise I’ve ruined your romantic announcement with my appalling comment. Feel free to delete it.

Siobh, clearing your cache is too late. By then your name has already been circulated on spooky bulletin boards where that kind of thing is sought out. It’s probably wisest to wrap your laptop, mobile phone and head in tinfoil and to only talk to your cats.

Besides that, hope the exams go well!

AWVC uses the Markdown formatting system, a very simple way to format your comments. Whitespace is converted directly. Enclose a phrase with asterisks to italicise, and two asterisks (**) to embolden. A good introduction to the Markdown format is available here.

Cleverly, though, the preview is basically useless (it will just show what you've typed). If you want a real preview, enter your text into the Markdown Dingus, then re-enter it here.
